Sequans’ LTE chips are powering the tablets being used in the LTE Multicast demos of Verizon Wireless at Super Mobility Week, September 9-11. The live demo can be seen in the exhibit stands of both Verizon Wireless (2625) and Alcatel-Lucent (3032) where two live channels of sports content from ESPN and the NFL Network and two VOD Indy channels will be delivered via Alcatel-Lucent network equipment to tablets powered by Sequans’ eMBMS-capable LTE chipsets.
Sequans’ technology has been used several times in LTE Multicast demos that Verizon Wireless has been running at some very high profile sporting events over the last year, including the Super Bowl, Indy500, and other IndyCar events. The chip inside the demo tablets is Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE Platform.
Also, Sequans is featuring its newest LTE chipset platform, Colibri, in its booth, number 943. The Colibri LTE platform is a member of Sequans’ StreamliteLTE product family and is optimized for the design of modules and devices for the Internet of Things. Colibri is packed with great IoT features, including key IoT interfaces, low power consumption, and a very small form factor.
