Sequans, the world leader in LTE for IoT chips, will be participating in this year’s Mobile World Congress in a new, double-size exhibit space in hall 5. We will be showing the latest new LTE for IoT devices powered by our industry-leading Monarch LTE-M/NB-IoT Platform, and we will be conducting live demos of Monarch operating in some very exciting new LTE for IoT devices.

GSMA 6th Mobile IoT Summit
To kick off this year’s MWC events, Sequans’ CEO, Georges Karam, will be delivering a keynote presentation at GSMA’s Mobile IoT Summit, to be held Sunday, February 25, from 1:00 to 6:30 PM, at the Hotel NH Collection Barcelona Tower. The event focuses on the rapid growth of LTE-M and NB-IoT technologies around the world and how the industry is scaling for global deployment. Georges Karam will discuss the advances in LTE-M and NB-IoT chip technologies that are making this rapid worldwide growth possible.
Following the keynote presentations by Sequans and Huawei, there will be a discussion panel of operators from Telefonica, Vodafone, AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, and China Mobile. Following this, there will be a discussion of real-world customer deployments, featuring the CEOs of Intellinum, Accent Systems, and Nimbelink, the maker of the Nimbelink LTE Cat M1 Asset Tracker, which is powered by Sequans’ Monarch Platform.
In the Mobile IoT Solutions Showcase, you’ll see new Sequans-powered devices on display by Sequans and Sercomm.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from industry leaders on LTE-M and NB-IoT, now scaling for global deployment. Register at this link.
Monarch Live!
Live demos at Sequans, stand 5C87.
Sequans will be conducting a live demo of the WAN dash button. The button is connected to the Amazon Cloud and the demo simulates what occurs when the button is pressed: communicating the product order, tracking the number of button presses, and measuring the remaining battery life. A quintessential LTE for IoT product demo; see it in our exhibit space.
Sequans and Nimbelink will be conducting a live demo of the Nimbelink LTE Cat M1 Asset Tracker. The demo will show the tracking of people on the show floor in real-time using the live LTE-M network.
Live demos at Sequans’ Customers and Partners
Sercomm will conduct a live demo of the Sercomm SavTrack LTE Tracker. Featuring LTE Cat M1 connectivity by Sequans Monarch, SavTrack® efficiently monitors the movements and locations of people, pets, vehicles, and objects 24/7. See it in Sercomm’s exhibit, hall 2, stand 2G3.
ST will demonstrate the STM32 IoT Cellular Kit – a development kit based on Sequans’ Monarch LTE-M/NB-IoT Platform, that connects a wide range of sensors to the cloud using the LTE-M/NB-IoT network. The kit supports end-to-end application from sensor to cloud and enables a wide range of IoT low-power use cases.
Collaboration with Ericsson
We are partnering with Ericsson on LwM2M standardization. The collaboration ensures that the LwM2M client embedded in our Monarch LTE-M/NB-IoT Platform interoperates with Ericsson’s IoT Accelerator platform, enabling massive IoT deployment. Visit Ericsson’s IoT area to learn more on the IoT Accelerator platform.
Monarch Around the World
Since Sequans’ introduced its Monarch Platform two years ago, it has spread like wildfire and is now recognized as the world’s leading LTE-M/NB-IoT chip.
New modules on display
In just the last year, Monarch has been chosen by leading module makers, Huawei, Asiatelco, and Wisol, for new module designs, bringing the total number of Monarch module partners to eight. Two more modules have been certified, one from Gemalto (for Verizon and AT&T) and one from WNC (for AT&T), and several others are in the queue. See them all at MWC and learn about their features and functions.
New LTE for IoT devices on display
We will also have on display several new LTE for IoT devices based on Monarch, including an IoT tracker and button device from Sercomm, new IoT trackers from Wisol, and Nimbelink, and the Bailong Telematics LTE-M On-Board-Unit of Remo Wireless. More will be announced soon!
New Monarch-based products to be introduced
In 2017, Sequans introduced Monarch SX, an SoC that integrates an embedded ARM Cortex-4 processor, for wearables and other sophisticated IoT devices, and CLOE (connecting and locating objects everywhere) an IoT tracker platform built in partnership with STMicroelectronics that combines Sequans’ Monarch LTE chip with ST’s Teseo III GNSS chip, for the ultimate in IoT tracker solutions. At MWC 2018, Sequans will introduce another new Monarch-based solution that will be one of the most exciting yet. Look for this announcement coming soon and see it at MWC 2018![
