LTE-Advanced and LTE Broadcast on stage
At Mobile World Congress, we are showcasing our new Cassiopeia LTE-Advanced Platform, which is our recently introduced next generation platform, compliant with 3GPP Release 10 specifications. Cassiopeia supports highly flexible carrier aggregation and provides category 6 capability, delivering the maximum theoretical LTE throughput in a 30 MHz FDD aggregated channel, which will be one of the most common configurations deployed by LTE operators. It is a powerful LTE platform, now fully ready to be designed into the next wave of single mode LTE devices.
In the Alcatel-Lucent stand (hall 3, stand 3K10) there will be two live demonstrations taking place featuring Alcatel-Lucent’s LTE infrastructure equipment and Sequans-powered LTE user devices. We and Alcatel-Lucent will demonstrate carrier aggregation, using our new Cassiopeia LTE-Advanced Platform, and LTE Broadcast (eMBMS) using our Mont Blanc LTE platform. The latter will be a re-enactment of the LTE Multicast demo that Verizon Wireless showcased during Super Bowl week where video content was streamed live to Sequans-powered tablets. See Sequans/Alcatel-Lucent press release.
In the Anritsu stand (hall 6, stand 6F40) there will be another demo of LTE Broadcast technology featuring a Sequans-powered LTE tablet connected to Anritsu’s development test equipment. See this one in Anritsu’s stand in hall 6, number 6F40.
Also on display in our stand will be some of the newest “powered by Sequans” LTE devices. These include the new Kurio™ 7x 4G LTE tablet by KD Interactive that is launching on the network of Verizon Wireless, and the new Pinyon AirWire™ LTE dongle slated to deploy in India.
See you in Barcelona! Hall 7, stand 7D76
