Sequans Powers New Ellipsis Jetpack Hotspot for Verizon Wireless

PARIS, France – December 29, 2014 – Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) announced that its LTE chipset is inside the new Verizon Ellipsis™ Jetpack®, an ultra compact mobile hotspot that allows users to connect up to eight Wi-Fi devices to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. The new Ellipsis Jetpack is an improved version of last year’s model, delivering higher throughput, longer battery life up to ten hours, and faster start-up time.  It operates on both of Verizon’s LTE bands, band 4 and band 13, making it compatible with Verizon’s XLTE service so users can expect faster peak speeds and greater network capacity in cities coast to coast where XLTE has been rolled out.

The LTE chip technology inside the Ellipsis Jetpack is Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE platform that delivers category 4 throughput and supports other advanced features.  Mont Blanc includes baseband with integrated high performance network and application CPU, an RFIC, a comprehensive software package, and Sequans AIR™ interference cancelation technology.  Mont Blanc is a member of Sequans’ StreamrichLTE™ family of products for high performance, feature-rich LTE devices.
