Richard Nottenburg Elected to Sequans’ Board of Directors

PARIS, France – June 28, 2016 – Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) announced today that Richard N. Nottenburg has been elected to its board of directors. Nottenburg was formerly CEO and member of the board of directors of Sonus Networks.

“Sequans will benefit from Richard’s extensive experience as an executive in the telecom industry,” said Georges Karam, Sequans CEO. “He has served on the boards of several leading companies assisting in growth management with excellent results. We are pleased to have him join us.”

Nottenburg is today a sought-after business consultant and a tech investor. Prior to his tenure at Sonus Networks, he was chief strategy officer and chief technology officer at Motorola. He has served on the boards of Aeroflex and PMC Sierra and today serves on the boards of Violin Memory, where he is chairman and member of the compensation and corporate governance/nominating committees, and Verint Systems, where he is chairman of the compensation committee.
