Single mode LTE outdoor unit built by Telenet Systems launching nationwide

PARIS, France – March 3, 2015– Sequans Communications S.A. (NYSE: SQNS) announced that its LTE chipset technology is powering the new single mode LTE CPEs being deployed by Tikona Digital Systems across India.  Tikona, founded in 2008, is India’s foremost broadband internet service provider, based in Mumbai.  Telenet Systems, also based in Mumbai, is a leading telecom networking and devices company with strong expertise and focus on 4G LTE and customer premises equipment (CPE).

Telenet Systems has designed the LTE Outdoor CPE (model TLE 5010-PE).  It features Store & Forward Switching architecture and a built-in DHCP client and server.

“We chose Sequans LTE chipset technology for this new CPE because it has category 4 performance for very high throughput and because it offers the best price/performance,” said Sunil Mehta, CEO, Telenet Systems.  “The CPE is designed to serve customers in multi-dwelling units who will now have access to robust high speed internet service and other advanced services enabled by 4G LTE.”

The LTE technology inside the new Telenet Systems CPE is Sequans Mont Blanc LTE chipset platform. Mont Blanc is a category 4 single mode LTE solution, comprising Sequans’ baseband SOC and LTE-optimized transceiver, an integrated network and application CPU, a comprehensive software package, and reference designs.  Mont Blanc is a member of Sequans’ StreamrichLTE™ family of products for high performance, feature-rich LTE devices.
