OneCare Founder Tom Glaser Talks to Mobile World Live About the Carewatch Health Wearable, Powered by Sequans’ Monarch

At Mobile World Congress in Los Angeles, Thomas Glaser, founding partner of OneCare, Inc., was interviewed by Mobile World Live to learn more about OneCare’s innovative new smart watch, called Carewatch. What follows is a summary of his comments, with a link to the full video at the end.

OneCare is the leading remote mobile monitoring platform in the country. We are a software, data, and data analytics company that has developed a smart watch that has the most robust feature set of any smart watch in the market today. We are focused on becoming a leader in the caring economy as we believe the instinct to care for each other is fundamental in human nature. The Carewatch allows people to do this.

Carewatch is the first standalone, direct cellular-connected smart watch to become available, and it is  the first to be certified for the LTE-M network.  This low-power, wide area technology allows us to deliver service anywhere and also get 5 to 7 days of battery life, which is very important.  Carewatch is very lightweight at only 2 ounces.  It has a proprietary operating system and feature set.

One of our partners is Sequans, provider of the LTE connectivity chip, Monarch, inside the Carewatch.

Sequans is one of the most progressive LTE chip companies in the country.

The Carewatch platform includes the OneLife Guardian app, which provides a personal health account to users, delivering data and data analytics. We are in the market today and Carewatch will be fully commercially-available in Q1 of 2020 in the USA via Verizon and AT&T and retail outlets, and then will be available in Asia, Europe, and Australia in the second half of the year. The Carewatch works in 165 countries.

Our goal is simplicity. The Carewatch is different from other health monitoring wearables that require user engagement. Carewatch has a special purpose of collecting health data, while requiring no user engagement, especially important in the senior care market.

We expect to be one of the fastest growing startups in the country, based on our backlog of orders for the Carewatch.

We will address the healthcare market first, but then pharmaceutical, insurance, personal emergency response, and retail.  We are doing this through partnerships.  It’s all about data, and the Carewatch provides the purest access to data of any health care smartwatch.
