Gemalto, one of Sequans’ industry-leading module partners, has earned AT&T certification for its Cinterion LTE-M IoT module. The module is based on Sequans’ Monarch LTE platform, the world’s first and most highly-optimized LTE-M/NB-IoT narrowband chip. The Cinterion EMS31 module is designed for low power, low data throughput IoT applications, including metering, asset tracking, remote monitoring and control, healthcare, security systems, POS, and smart city.
The EMS31 is designed based on flexible RF which supports multiple LTE bands for global coverage. This simplifies deployment and allows very fast time to market.
“Congratulations to our longtime module partner Gemalto who has now won AT&T’s stamp of approval for its excellent LTE-M IoT module,” said Danny Kedar, VP of Sequans’ IoT Business Unit. “The EMS31 is a powerful, efficient, and award-winning solution and we are very proud that our Monarch technology is part of it.”

The EMS31 was previously certified by Verizon and so is now certified by the two largest LTE operators in North America.
