SQN1220–CPE Reference Design

The SQN1220-CPE is a complete reference design for desktop CPE. It is based on Sequans’ SQN1220 SOC and comes in two variants:

1) SQN1220-CPE-S12 for 2.3-2.7 GHz
2) SQN1220-CPE-S2 for 2.5-2.7 GHz

The design leverages the advanced features of Sequans’ SQN1220 solution, the only chip in the industry to integrate baseband and triple band RF in a single 65nm die and the only one to deliver 2 independent transmitters on the uplink. SQN1220 also features extra processing power as needed for the support of VOIP and networking applications. The design is fully tested and qualified and is WiMAX Forum Certified™.

The SQN1220-CPE is 110X110 mm in size and includes integrated antennas. It features RJ45, 2xRJ11 and USB connectors and VOIP SLICs. Its 2Tx design supports 2 x 23 dBm of output power and includes a center connector and 12V universal 110/220 VAC. Complete host drivers, IEEE 802.16e software stack, including authentication and provisioning, plus a connection manager and OMA-DM client are provided to OEMs/ODMs for various operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Linux 2.6.x, MAC OS 10.4/10.5/10.6. Host software features automatic loading of drivers.
