The SQN2010-RD Reference Design is a platform that demonstrates the capabilities of Sequans' SQN2010 System on Chip (SoC) and full software package. It enables system vendors to evaluate the performance of the SQN2010, a highly integrated SoC that implements the full PHY and MAC layers necessary for IEEE 802.16-2004 compliant base stations. In addition, the SQN2010-RD can be used to anticipate product development by integrating software, as well as validating RF solutions with Sequans' baseband technology.

Access to the SQN2010 SoC
The SQN2010-RD highlights the features of the SQN2010 SoC. It includes the complete PHY and MAC layers required for a WiMAX system, with additional features such as full uplink subchannelization, support for antenna diversity, real-time services, ARQ and PHS.
The platform is delivered with Sequans' application software for a full end-to-end operational system, and with test scripts for easy system configuration and monitoring. The SQN2010-RD can be used to investigate end-to-end WiMAX interoperable solutions by connecting with one or several SQN1010-RD platforms.
