The SQN1010-RD reference design demonstrates the capabilities of Sequans' SQN1010 System on Chip (SoC) and comprehensive software package. It enables system vendors to evaluate the performance of the SQN1010 solution, a highly integrated SoC that implements the full PHY and MAC layers necessary to develop IEEE 802.16-2004 compliant subscriber stations. In addition, the SQN1010-RD can be used to anticipate product development by integrating software, as well as by validating RF solutions with Sequans' baseband technology.

Access to the SQN1010 SoC

The SQN1010-RD highlights the features of the SQN1010 SoC. It includes the complete PHY and MAC layers required for a WiMAX system, with additional features such as robust synchronization, space time coding, Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ) and PHS.

The platform is delivered with Sequans' application software for a full end-to-end operational system, and with test scripts for easy system configuration and monitoring. The SQN1010-RD can be used to investigate end-to-end WiMAX interoperable solutions by connecting with a SQN2010-RD platform.
