ExpressCard34 reference design
The SQN1130-EXC is a complete ExpressCard34 reference design, with a removable case and integrated antennas. It is based on the SQN1130 baseband SOC and the SQN1140 RFIC, and covers the 2.5-2.7 GHz band. The design is fully qualified with extensive testing showing significant performance gains over minimum WiMAX requirements.
The SQN1130-EXC connects to the PC in the ExpressCard slot, using the USB interface. Complete host drivers, as well as a connection manager, are provided to OEMs/ODMs for various operating systems (Windows XP, Vista, Linux, MAC OS). In addition, a complete IEEE 802.16e software stack is provided including authentication, and provisioning.
The SQN1130-EXC is delivered together with a docking board, so that it can also be used as an engineering platform, with a number of connectors available for integration.
