Compact base station reference design
The SQN2130 based compact base station reference design is an integrated baseband and reference design (RF) platform of 140x140 mm in size, which could be used in the development of low cost femto or pico base stations. The RF radio is connected through a MiniPCI interface, offering the flexibility to operate at any WiMAX frequency band.
The SQN2130 is used in conjunction with a PQII-pro CPU allowing the customer to easily develop upper layer software to complement the Sequans' software solution, the S3MAX.
With the unique Sequans lower MAC partitioning, the CPU power is sufficient to reach line rate throughput. Up to 512 simultaneous active users can be handled with the associated SDRAM available on the board.
