Sequans 2Tx solution is 100 percent compatible with existing base stations

Network operators do not need to upgrade existing base stations to realize the benefits of 2Tx technology. Sequans’ patented closed-loop diversity algorithm is 100 percent compatible with existing base stations, giving operators the benefits of increased coverage and lower infrastructure costs without any incremental capital expense. Implementing 2T-CLD in mobile devices delivers a 26 percent improvement in coverage and a 37 percent reduction in number of required base stations. When uplink MIMO is implemented on the device, further gains can be realized by implementing STC (space time coding) at the base station, which delivers a 37 percent improvement in coverage and a 47 percent reduction in base stations.

Sequans 2T-CLD solution outperforms single Tx solutions in every situation

All WiMAX devices have two antennas, but only Sequans with 2Tx enables operators and equipment manufactures to fully exploit this capability. Primitive single Tx solutions that can only provide single Tx switched diversity do not measure up to Sequans 2Tx full diversity solution and the ability of 2T CLD to dynamically select the best diversity for any channel environment.
