Key Benefits of SQN2130A
Flexible, Total Solution
The SQN2130A is a highly integrated, MAC and PHY baseband solution. The combination of small size, low-cost, and low-power consumption, provides maximum flexibility to build micro or pico base stations, in TDD or FDD mode, with no compromise in features or functionality. The SQN2130A interfaces with a range of RF solutions from Sequans’ partners. SQN2130A-based base stations are easily integrated into existing deployed networks via standard interfaces to ASN gateways.
Low Cost and Low Power Ideal For Pico Base Stations
The SQN2130A’s high level of integration and built-in dynamic power optimization techniques are ideal for base stations with strong constraints on cost, power consumption, and footprint. A low cost host/network processor may be used to run S3MAX™, Sequans’ software package, along with customer applications.
High Throughput Serves Large Number of Users
The SQN2130A can support several thousand subscriber stations and operates at the full line rate, translating to throughput of more than 40 Mbps. In addition to advanced MIMO techniques, the SQN2130A supports hybrid-ARQ up to category 6 to enhance RF link robustness. The SQN2130A also supports uplink collaborative spatial multiplexing (UL-CSM), for capacity improvement, and cyclic shift trasmit diversity (CSTD) as an additional Tx diversity method, for a greater link budget.
Full-featured MAC Layer
Sequans’ extremely efficient MAC implementation is strategically partitioned between hardware accelerations and software to maximize throughput and minimize power consumption. Complete support for mobility is provided, in particular for optimized handover, sleep and idle modes, and uplink/downlink adaptation algorithms. Specific Additional Sequans features include cell range extension (up to 40 Km), flexible uplink/downlink ratios for applications such as video surveillance services, dynamic frequency selection (DFS), for unlicensed frequency bands and automatic MIMO A/B switch.
