SEQUANS POWERS TELSIMA’S MAJOR WIMAX DEPLOYMENTS IN INDIA

Thousands of base station sectors and tens of thousands of subscriber stations already deployed

PARIS, France, and CUPERTINO, Calif. — September 17, 2007 — SEQUANS Communications, leading provider of base station and subscriber station chips for both fixed and Mobile WiMAX®, announced today that Telsima, leading global WiMAX equipment manufacturer, is using Sequans chips in its StarMAX™ product line. The product line supports both IEEE 802.16-2004 fixed and IEEE 802.16e-2005 mobile WiMAX networks and is now being deployed across India and other emerging markets by tier 1 operators. Telsima has procured more than 100,000 subscriber station chips and more than 10,000 base station chips from Sequans.
