On March 30, Sequans’ CEO Georges Karam was honored with the “Best Manager Prize” from Prix des Technologies Numeriques (Digital Technology Awards) in their annual digital technology awards ceremony, which was held at the Hotel de Lassay in Paris.
The jury of Prix des Technologies Numerique focused their 2017 awards on highlighting the entrepreneurs and companies who are focusing their talents and creativity on building technology for the world of tomorrow. The jury comprises leaders from a diversity of sectors and is chaired by Vincent Pilloy, founder and CEO of INOV360.
Among the 250 innovative French companies identified, the jury elected three winners of the Prix du Technologies 2017.
The Manager’s Award was presented to Georges Karam, a graduate of Télécom ParisTech and the chief executive of Sequans Communications, a company founded by Karam in 2003 to develop 4G semiconductor technologies for mobile networks. The jury’s selection was based on Karam’s entrepreneurial leadership of Sequans, a company that since 2003 has been very successful and is today a leader in the dynamic and highly competitive field of 4G wireless components. The award recognizes the talent of Karam as a manager and one who has made ambitious strategic choices and has maintained the commitment of his research and development teams to overcoming significant technological and market challenges in an extremely competitive sector.
