Senior Software Applications Engineer

Responsibilities:

Working within the Sales organization, you will provide technical expertise about Sequans' software solutions and WiMAX-based systems in support of pre-sales and post-sales activities. You will help to bridge the gap from engineering to full product availability by working closely with other teams: product marketing, technical writers, engineering and field applications engineering. You will perform the following activities:

Assist prospects in their assessment of Sequans' solutions and contribute to major design wins.
Create training material for Sequans' software products and provide training to customers and other FAE team members.
Provide level-2 technical support to customers for software-related issues in all phases of their product development.
Define customer documentation needs and assist technical writers, write application notes.
Participate in customer field tests and interoperability tests with other vendors.
Assist customers in the WiMAX certification process of their Sequans-based products.
Define and implement demonstrations of Sequans' products for major tradeshows.
Work with product marketing and engineering teams to evaluate customer-specific requirements.
Define and coordinate customer-specific projects requiring custom software development or joint-integration.
Work with Sequans' partners to enable third-party software products integrated with Sequans software solutions.

Your Profile

You are a highly skilled and experienced engineer with expertise in Real-Time embedded software development for telecommunications systems. Ideally, you have previous experience of MAC layer protocol design for broadband wireless access systems. You are a hands-on engineer with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. You have the ability to install full end-to-end systems and perform detailed testing.

You are fast learner, autonomous, team-oriented and motivated by customer relationships. You are willing to travel to customer locations and you are able to work closely with other engineering or marketing teams.

Required Experience

Engineering degree
Seven or more years of experience in the telecommunications and/or microelectronics industry
System-level knowledge of broadband wireless access systems
Previous experience in R&D and with the full product development cycle
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Fluent English
