DSP/Software Engineer for WiMAX

Responsibilities:

The DSP team is in charge of designing and developing the physical layer of the WiMAX Sequans solutions. As part of it, you will be responsible to design and implement new architectures and algorithms in the embedded DSP core. You will work tightly with the ASIC team to define the right hardware/software split and specify hardware interfaces. You will have good knowledge of hardware mechanisms, cycle budget and complete control of the core internals. Since you will have a broad system vision not limited to software issues only, DSP and Hardware experience as well as strong motivation are required.

Responsibilities include:

Participating to the definition and specification of the SoC architecture: Hardware and software (DSP)
Designing and developing the base band scheduler
Implementing DSP algorithms
Maintaining and improving the development and simulation system environment, as well as developing new tools
Analyzing the hardware/DSP pipeline resources usage to maintain an updated image of the system load distribution

Required Experience:

Engineering degree in Telecommunication/Electronics
Experience in the telecommunications and/or embedded system industry
Experience in C/C++/Asm implementation in real-time software developments
Experience in complex hardware and software design environments is a plus
Good knowledge of Unix tools (Python, shell, etc...) is a plus
Experience in DSP implementation is a plus
Fast learning capabilities, ability to work in a team
Fluent in English
